Turn on the lights in one room with Siri

Quick answer

"Turn on the kitchen lights" and HomePod switches on every light assigned to that room in the Home app. Name any room you've set up. You can also say "dim the kitchen lights to 30 percent" or "turn off all the lights downstairs" to control a whole zone at once.

Say this

Turn on the kitchen lights

How it works

  1. 01Add your lights to a room in the Home app
  2. 02Say "Hey Siri" to your HomePod
  3. 03Name the room: "turn on the kitchen lights"

If Siri doesn't get it

Lights must be HomeKit accessories assigned to a room in the Home app. If a light is missed, check it's in the right room and reachable on your network.
