PRIVACY
Privacy policy.
TrySiri is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect, why, who it's shared with, and the choices and rights you have.
Last updated: June 10, 2026
The short version
We don't sell your personal information. You can read the entire site without an account. Three things are worth knowing up front: we show ads (which use cookies), some features let you sign in and post notes (which means we store an account and what you post), and we record an anonymous "did this work?" vote when you use the verification buttons. Everything below is the detail.
Who we are
TrySiri ("TrySiri," "we," "us") operates the website at trysiri.com — an independent reference for what Apple's Siri can do. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at Nnigma3@gmail.com. TrySiri is not affiliated with Apple Inc.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — if you sign in to post a note, we use Google, Apple, or an email magic link. Depending on the method, we receive and store an identifier and, where provided, your name, email address, and profile image. Email magic-link sign-in stores your email address. Apple may withhold your name and email at its option.
- Notes and contributions — the text of any note you post, and the device and iOS version you attach to it. Notes are public and display your chosen name.
- Communications — anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Verification votes — when you use the "Did this work for you?" buttons, we record an anonymous vote (worked / didn't) and, if you select them, the device and iOS version. This is not linked to your identity.
- Technical and usage data — like virtually every website, our hosting, security, and advertising providers automatically receive standard technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and the pages you view.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used for advertising and basic site function; see "Cookies and advertising" below.
- Local storage — we store small markers in your browser (for example, to remember which pages you've already voted on or reported, and your filter preferences). These stay on your device.
We do not intentionally collect special-category or sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not include it in notes.
How we use information
To operate and display the site and its content; to show and improve the verification data; to display your notes and let you manage them; to authenticate sign-in; to show ads that fund the site; to understand aggregate usage; to maintain security, prevent abuse and spam, and enforce our Terms; to respond to you; and to comply with law.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for advertising cookies and personalized ads, and where otherwise required — withdrawable at any time); performance of a contract (providing accounts and notes you request); and our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the site, and preventing abuse), balanced against your rights.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which keeps the site free. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads, including ads personalized to you based on your prior visits to TrySiri and other sites.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we present a consent tool that asks for your choices before non-essential cookies and personalized advertising are used, and lets you change or withdraw those choices at any time through our cookie/privacy settings. Where you do not consent, you may see fewer or non-personalized ads.
You can also control advertising directly:
- Google Ads Settings — https://adssettings.google.com
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out — https://optout.aboutads.info
- European opt-out — https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
- How Google uses data from sites that use its services — https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Each third-party vendor's use of cookies is governed by its own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use a privacy-respecting analytics service (Clicky) to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage such as page views. It does not build advertising profiles of you.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Advertising — Google, as described above.
- Infrastructure providers (processors) — our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our site host (Lovable), and our email-delivery provider, which process data on our behalf to run the site.
- Sign-in providers — Google and Apple, when you choose to sign in with them.
- Legal and safety — authorities or others where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfer — a successor entity if TrySiri is ever transferred, subject to this policy.
International data transfers
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries whose laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of EEA/UK personal data.
Data retention
We keep account information and notes for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the site. Anonymous verification votes and aggregate technical data are kept as long as useful for the purposes above. We delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed, or sooner on a valid request, subject to legal obligations.
Your privacy rights (EEA/UK and similar)
Subject to local law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email Nnigma3@gmail.com; we respond within the timeframe the law requires.
US state privacy rights (California and other states)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies for personalized ads may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws.
To opt out of personalized advertising, use the consent/cookie settings on this site and the Google and industry opt-out links above. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out for that browser. To exercise other rights, email Nnigma3@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Accounts and content — your controls
You can delete your own notes at any time while signed in. To delete your account and associated personal information, email Nnigma3@gmail.com and we will action it, subject to any legal retention obligations. Note that anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be retained.
Children
TrySiri is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your region). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where required.
