What is this on my screen? Using Visual Intelligence
Quick answer
With Visual Intelligence, you can ask about what you're looking at — through the camera or on screen — to identify objects, places, or text and take action, like looking something up or adding details to your calendar. It's part of the newer Apple Intelligence features.
Say this
“Hey Siri, what is this?”
How it works
- 01Invoke Visual Intelligence (via the camera control or on-screen, per your device).
- 02Point at or capture the thing you're asking about.
- 03Siri identifies it and offers actions — search, translate, add to calendar.
- 04Pick an action to follow through.

If Siri doesn't get it
Visual Intelligence availability depends on your device and region and rolls out in stages — if it isn't present, check Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. Based on Apple's announcement; not yet device-confirmed.
