Turn on Type to Siri

Quick answer

Turn on Type to Siri in Settings > Accessibility > Siri, and from then on triggering Siri opens a keyboard where you type your request. Helpful when speaking isn't practical, for accessibility, or when background noise makes voice unreliable. You can keep voice as well.

Say this

Hey Siri

How it works

  1. 01Open Settings > Accessibility > Siri
  2. 02Turn on Type to Siri
  3. 03Trigger Siri and type your request instead of speaking

If Siri doesn't get it

With Type to Siri on, how voice and text combine can vary by setting. Adjust whether Siri also speaks responses in the same Accessibility menu.
