Turn up the brightness with Siri

Quick answer

"Turn up the brightness" and Siri raises the screen brightness a step; "turn it down" lowers it. Say "set brightness to 100 percent" for a specific level, or "maximum brightness" to go all the way up. Useful in bright sun or to dim for night reading.

Say this

Turn up the brightness

How it works

  1. 01Wake Siri
  2. 02Say "turn up the brightness" or "set brightness to 50 percent"
  3. 03Use "maximum" or "minimum" for the extremes

If Siri doesn't get it

If brightness drifts back down, Auto-Brightness may be adjusting it. Turn that off in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size if you want manual control.
