Turn off "Hey Siri" listening

Quick answer

To stop voice activation, open Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn off "Listen for 'Hey Siri'" (or "Listen for"). Your device stops listening for the wake phrase. You can still trigger Siri with the side button, or turn Siri off entirely from the same screen.

If Siri doesn't get it

Turning off the wake word doesn't delete past data. To also clear history, use Siri & Dictation History in the same settings screen.
