Translate a menu with Siri and the camera
Quick answer
Based on Apple's announced Visual Intelligence, you can point your camera at a menu or sign and have the text translated on screen. What's supported depends on your device, language pair, and region. Open the feature and check options in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri.
Say this
“Translate what I'm looking at”
How it works
- 01Confirm Visual Intelligence in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri
- 02Point the camera at the text you want translated
- 03Read the translation shown on screen

If Siri doesn't get it
Camera translation is part of Visual Intelligence, an Apple Intelligence feature that is device- and region-dependent. Use the Translate app as a fallback by typing or speaking text.
