Make Siri play music from a specific service

Quick answer

There's no permanent "default music app" setting for Siri. Instead, name the app each time — "play jazz on Spotify" — and over time Siri may ask which service to use and remember your answer. Saying the app name reliably is the dependable way to control it.

Say this

Play jazz on Spotify

How it works

  1. 01Say "play [music] on [app name]"
  2. 02If Siri asks which service to use, choose your app
  3. 03Keep naming the app until Siri learns your preference

If Siri doesn't get it

The third-party app must support Siri and be installed and signed in. There's no fixed default toggle, so include the app name when it matters.
