Run a Shortcut by name with Siri

Quick answer

Say the exact name of a shortcut — "Hey Siri, [shortcut name]" — and Siri runs it. Every shortcut you create in the Shortcuts app gets a voice trigger automatically from its name. Pick clear, distinct names so Siri doesn't confuse one shortcut with another.

Say this

Hey Siri, my morning routine

How it works

  1. 01Create a shortcut in the Shortcuts app
  2. 02Give it a clear, distinct name
  3. 03Say "Hey Siri, [shortcut name]" to run it

If Siri doesn't get it

If Siri doesn't run it, the name may clash with another command or be hard to hear. Rename the shortcut to something short and unique.
