How to ask Siri to play a specific playlist

Quick answer

Say "Hey Siri, play my Workout playlist." Siri starts that playlist in Apple Music. Add "on Spotify" or another app name to play from a different service.

Say this

Hey Siri, play my Workout playlist

How it works

  1. 01Name the playlist exactly as it appears in your music app.
  2. 02To use a non-Apple service, add the app name: "...on Spotify."
  3. 03Say "shuffle my [name] playlist" to start it shuffled.
  4. 04Control playback with "next song," "pause," or "turn it up."

If Siri doesn't get it

If Siri opens the wrong app, say the app name explicitly, and make sure that app has Siri access enabled in Settings > [app] > Siri & Search.
