Fix Siri not responding on AirPods

Quick answer

If "Hey Siri" does nothing through your AirPods, first check they're connected and in your ears. Open Settings > Bluetooth, tap your AirPods, and confirm "Hey Siri" or press-and-hold is set up. A quick clean of the microphone mesh and a re-pair often fixes a Siri that's gone quiet.

Say this

Hey Siri

How it works

  1. 01Check the AirPods are connected in Settings > Bluetooth
  2. 02Confirm "Hey Siri" or press-and-hold is set up for them
  3. 03Clean the microphone mesh, then test again

If Siri doesn't get it

Forget the AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth and re-pair them. Make sure your iPhone software and AirPods firmware are both up to date.
