Look up text in a photo with Siri

Quick answer

With Live Text, you can touch and hold text in any photo to copy it, call a number, open a link, or translate it. Ask Siri "open my photos" to get there, then tap into the image. Live Text reads printed and handwritten text in supported languages.

If Siri doesn't get it

Live Text supports a set of languages and needs a clear image. If text isn't selectable, confirm Live Text is on in Settings > General > Language & Region.
