Dictate an email with Siri

Quick answer

"Email Sam about lunch" and Siri asks for the subject and body, captures what you say, reads it back, and sends on your okay. Name the recipient and Siri fills in their address from Contacts. Good for firing off a quick message hands-free.

Say this

Email Sam about lunch

How it works

  1. 01Wake Siri
  2. 02Say "email [name] about [subject]"
  3. 03Dictate the body, then confirm to send

If Siri doesn't get it

If Siri uses the wrong address, make sure the contact has the right email saved. Mail must be set up in Settings > Mail.
