Call a family member by relationship with Siri

Quick answer

"Call my wife" works once you've told Siri who that is. The first time, Siri asks and saves the relationship to your contact card, so afterward "call my wife," "text my brother," or "what's my mom's birthday" all just work. Set relationships up once and Siri remembers.

Say this

Call my wife

How it works

  1. 01Say "call my wife" and tell Siri who that is when asked
  2. 02Siri saves the relationship to your contact card
  3. 03Afterward, use the relationship for calls, texts, and more

If Siri doesn't get it

To edit relationships, open your own card in Contacts and adjust the related names, or just tell Siri "[name] is my wife" to update it.
